Editor and Editorial Process

Managed by Andres Haddad. Last updated .

9GAG Guide is maintained as an independent educational resource about meme culture, online humor communities, safe sharing, and the context around 9GAG-era formats. The site is intentionally small, but it is not anonymous: editorial questions, corrections, source suggestions, and privacy requests can be sent to ahaddadtrabajo@gmail.com.

Editorial Process

Articles are drafted as original explanations rather than scraped summaries. Before publication, each page is checked for four things: whether the topic is useful to a real reader, whether the text adds context instead of repeating a source, whether any examples are original, and whether the page avoids republishing screenshots, captions, comments, or other user-generated media from 9GAG or other platforms.

Updates are made when a page is unclear, stale, too thin, or missing a practical reader question. Visible dates are used so readers can tell when an article was last reviewed. Corrections are handled from the contact inbox and are prioritized when a factual claim, source link, privacy concern, or independence disclosure needs attention.

Independence and advertising

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by 9GAG. References to 9GAG are descriptive and educational. Advertising may support hosting and maintenance, but advertising does not decide article topics, source treatment, or whether a correction is accepted.

What the site avoids

How to request a correction

Send the article URL, the sentence or section in question, and a short explanation. If the correction is factual, include a public source. If the request concerns privacy, include enough detail to identify the issue without sending private information that does not need to be repeated.
